Microsoft Exchange from ShareMode

Business-class email designed with
business processes in mind

Email Specifically Designed for Growing Businesses

Exchange is a business email solution designed to help businesses work smarter. Most office workers spend a very large portion of their workday sending and reading emails. We asked several hundred businesses in a variety of industries how they use email on a typical workday. We designed Exchange around requirements they provided. And we improve it on an ongoing basis, relying on feedback from our growing base of business customers. Exchange continues to evolve in support of ever-changing work processes that revolve around Cloud and mobile solutions.

Designed around Business Processes

Not all email solutions are created equal. In our opinion, solutions like Gmail are consumer-centric and don’t take into account the daily work processes of the typical business. For example, Gmail has no support for public email folders to house emails like support@company.com, sales@company.com, and info@company.com. By contrast, public folders in Exchange allow businesses to share emails among employees. You can even layer on a distribution list to public folders (e.g., distribute emails sent to sales@company.com to all sales persons). We also support email templates at the organization and user levels. These can be used to support a wide variety of processes that involve repetitive emails. These are just two examples of the many ways we help businesses manage email intelligently.

Enterprise-Grade Email Protection from McAfee

Exchange includes enterprise-grade email security from McAfee. Every single inbound and outbound email is filtered by McAfee to protect your users from viruses and SPAM. Policies for filtering can be defined both at the company level as well as the individual user level. Administrators can even monitor emails for misuse (e.g., sexual harassment). The Message Audit capability of McAfee lets you see what happens with every single email.

Disaster Recovery at No Extra Cost

All Exchange accounts come with built-in disaster recovery. This means that if the Exchange servers are down for any prolonged period of time (over 15 minutes), you can still send and receive emails during such an outage. All you have to do in login to the McAfee portal. Email continuity service is included free of charge. We let you keep working uninterrupted in the event of a prolonged outage.

Full Support for all Mobile Devices

Our mobile sync solution lets you sync your email, calendar and contacts with the native applications on your iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, Windows Mobile smartphone, and Windows tablet. There is no need to download a separate app for syncing.

Personal and Shared Calendars, Contacts, Tasks

All Exchange accounts come with calendars, contacts and tasks. Users can share them with each other. You can even create Group calendars and Global Address Lists. Another example of our real-world focus is allowing specific users to manage the Global Address list without involving an IT person. All calendars, contacts and tasks can be fully synced with your favorite mobile device.

Mobile Syncing of Email, Calendars, Contacts

Today’s workforce is mobile. And so we support complete real-time syncing of emails, calendars and contacts with your favorite mobile device. Syncing is with the native mail app, calendar app, and contacts app on your device. Syncing is real time in both directions. Multiple devices can be synced with your Exchange account.

Shared Email Folders and Addresses

Shared email is a business need for a significant number of small to medium sized businesses. We provide a variety of ways to share emails to suit your particular needs. You can use public email folders, share one or more of your email folders with your colleagues, create distribution lists, or map an email address to a Teamspace. This last option allows you to map an email address like support@company.com to a Teamspace that can be accessed by multiple users by simply using a drop-down in their own account. There is no need to login to a separate account. Talk to our email specialists and we can help guide you.

Fully Integrated with Cloud Drive

Exchange is one of the few solutions that is integrated with a business-class file server solution. This means that you can download email attachments to personal or shared file folders in your company’s Cloud Drive account. You can also send files or links to files using your business email address directly from Exchange. The integration between email and files is straightforward and seamless.

Compatible with Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail

Exchange supports Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail. IMAP support lets you enjoy real-time syncing between the mail server and your favorite email client. Our DesktopSync plugin for Outlook lets you sync calendars, contacts, tasks and notes with Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010. ActiveSync protocol is used to sync email, calendars, contacts and tasks with Outlook 2013.

Email Tracking at Your Fingertip

Unmatched email security from McAfee protects your users from viruses and SPAM. All inbound and outbound emails are filtered through McAfee. Because of this, you can track the status of every single email sent to or received by your users. This solves one of the biggest complaints – non-delivery of email – by letting you see what happened to the email in question.

What differentiates Exchange from solutions offered by Google and Microsoft?

At a fundamental level, email is email. You send them and you receive them. But in reality, email is much more than sending and receiving electronic messages. They are at the heart of the daily workflow and processes for the vast majority of businesses.

In contrast to Gmail and Exchange, Exchange was purpose-built with the needs and processes of businesses in mind. You can see this reflected in public folders for email, email templates that can be created at the company and user levels, and emails that can be mapped to Teamspaces. You can even transfer email addresses from one user to another (e.g., user who responds to emails sent to info@company.com).

Can I use Exchange with multiple domains?

Absolutely. Unlike most email systems, you can have as many primary domains as you want. This is especially important if your business has two divisions/personalities. For example, a printing business might also have a graphics art division and the two lines may have separate domains. This scenario is quite common. A user can map two different email addresses tied to two different domains and when they hit “Reply” have it sent from the email address to which it was sent.

Is email archiving and email encryption available?

Email archiving is available as an option for an additional cost. Our email archiving solution meets all regulatory requirements. As for encryption, SSL and TLS options are available. And in partnership with McAfee, we also offer policy-based email encryption. For example, you can have emails that are marked “Confidential” automatically encrypted.
